Dear Parents and Carers
We have had a lovely final week of term.
Thank you to FOWS who did a marvellous job
in running the Easter Egg Hunt on Monday.
The children were so excited about taking part
and we really appreciate the support of all who
came and took part.
Year 6 saw their WW2 topic come to life on
Tuesday with a visit to Swindon Steam
Museum.
Thank you to Mr Cobb for organising and to
Mrs Lowther for accompanying Year 6 on this
trip.
We ended this term at St Peter’s Church where
Year 4 and 5 led us in reflecting and exploring
the events of Holy Week. Their innovative
approach involved ‘News 24’ style updates on
the final days of Jesus with interviews of key
witnesses and even a weather report. All of the
children should feel incredibly proud of the
role they played in this service. I know some of
them felt very nervous this morning but you
wouldn’t have been able to tell.
Congratulations to them and thank you to Mrs
Lester and Mrs Collins for all of their hard work
in preparing.
It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be your
interim headteacher for these last two terms.
Thank you to everyone, staff members, parents,
governors and volunteers, for the role you play
in our school community and for your kind
words and support. I wish Woolhampton
School all the best for the future and know I
leave you in safe hands with Miss Purdy.
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter.
